Mochi pounding is a rare event in Japan that is only done on New Year's Day or special occasions, and many Japanese people have never experienced it. Mochi pounding is imbued with feelings of gratitude to the gods, wishes for family prosperity and good health. Experience the sound, vibrations, and power of mochi pounding live! We will also be incorporating various fun elements into the performance, so please look forward to it.
